Rosalia
Rosalia Vila (aka Rosalia) is a Spanish flamenco and pop vocalist. Since she was a teen she was involved both in traditional and popular music. However, her musical interests have expanded to include hip-hop and soul. Her voice is called by no less of a talent than flamenco musician Pepe Habichuela as sweet and sharp and with a bite that is similar to older versions. El Mal Querer gained her notoriety and commercial success after her first album Los Angeles was released in 2017. This album won it an award called the Latin Grammy Award for Best New Artist. In 2021, her single La Fama with The Weeknd was released. Motomami came out as her third album that was full-length. It included collaborations with fellow musicians and producers, such as Cory Henry. It was released in 2022 as a result of a Saturday Night Live appearance by the singer Chicken Teriyaki. Rosalia is the very first Spanish artist to sing solo on the show. Motomami's Rosalia, who won The Latin Album of the Year and three Latin Grammy Awards in total for Motomami was also the first female to win one.
